Our hats are made entirely of natural materials therefore, no two hats are exactly the same. Crown style, material, and manner in which a hat is worn can affect its feel and fit.
Our size chart acts as a general guideline to choosing the correct size, however, your hat will stretch and mold to the shape of your head over time.
If you find you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up and using hat sizing tape. Every Americo hat has an interior cotton sweatband. Simply adhere the sizing tape on the inner-side of the sweatband until you achieve your desired fit.
HOW TO MEASURE
It is best to measure while looking in a mirror, and using a cloth measuring tape. If you do not have a cloth measuring tape, a string and ruler work as well.
We suggest beginning an inch above your eyebrows. However, it is important that you measure wherever you like your hat to sit. For example, if you prefer to wear your hat tilted back toward the crown of your head, that is where you would make your measurement.
Wrap the tape measureraround the perimeter of your head. Mark the meeting point in centimeters. If using a string, mark the meeting point and lay it flat to measure with a ruler.
We suggest measuring more than once for accuracy.
